Jason was very excited to visit Chicago for the first time. He had always wanted to see the famous city with its skyscrapers, museums, and parks. He paid at the counter and waited for his order. He got his tray and went to a table near the window. He took a bite of his first burger and felt happy. It was tasty. He finished it quickly and started on his second one.
He drank some coke and felt full. He realized that he had ordered too much food. He decided to take the rest of his second burger with him and give it to someone who needed it. He wrapped it in a napkin and put it in his pocket. He left the shop and continued his walk.
He saw a park nearby and decided to go there. He saw many people enjoying the sunny day.
Some were playing games, some were reading books, some were listening to music, and some were just relaxing on the grass. He saw a bench that was empty and sat down.
He looked around and saw a man who was sitting on the ground near a trash can.
The man looked dirty, hungry, and sad.
Jason felt sorry for him and decided to help him. He took out his second burger from his pocket and walked towards him. He smiled and said hello. The man looked up and saw him. Jason offered him the burger and said that he had an extra one. The man thanked him and took the burger gratefully. He unwrapped it and ate it with joy.
Jason felt happy to see him smile. He asked him his name and where he was from. The man said that his name was Bob and that he was from Chicago. He said that he had lost his job, his home, and his family due to some bad luck. He said that he had been living on the streets for a few months.
Jason felt sorry for him and decided to talk to him more. He sat down next to him and asked him about his life story. Bob told him about his past, his dreams, his problems, and his hopes. Jason listened attentively and sympathized with him.
They talked for a long time and became friends. Jason learned a lot about Chicago from Bob’s perspective. Bob learned a lot about Japan from Jason’s perspective.
They both realized that they had more in common than they thought.
